Protest in New York against supporters of terrorism

On Saturday, February 14th, 2015 Arts Against Aggression has unveiled a new urban art work by opera conductor/ artist Adrian Bryttan titled Valentines for Netrebko. This dramatic installation highlights the frightening consequences of Ms. Netrebko’s prominent support for the Moscow puppet terrorist “state” in eastern Ukraine.

Time and again, Ms. Netrebko publicizes her unquestioning support for every policy of the Kremlin leaders. When she posed with the internationally wanted terrorist leader Oleg Tsarov, this was merely an attempt to lend legitimacy to Putin’s aggressive expansion and wars. Consequently, Austrian Airlines and Chopard Jewelry have dropped their sponsorship.

On a day when Ms. Netrebko celebrated her first Valentine Day on American soil, the thousands of “broken hearts” in Ukraine that will never again send a card to their loved ones. On a day when Ms. Netrebko will sing gloriously at the Met, these hearts will remain forever mute…

Adrian Bryttan has performed world wide as an opera and symphony conductor and concert violinist. Of Ukrainian heritage, he received a Fulbright Scholar award to work with professional and student institutions in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Lviv. In Dnipropetrovsk, he organized and conducted the first ever performances of Puccini’s ‘Gianni Schicchi’ and ‘Suor Angelica’ on any Ukrainian stage. He translated both operas into Ukrainian and organized diaspora support for bringing over an American stage director and stage designers to create the new productions.
