The People’s Law School (www.publiclegaled.bc.ca) and BC Center for Elder Support and Advocacy (www.bccesa) are pleased to announce the release of the revised When I’m 64 series of public legal information resources for seniors.
When I’m 64: Benefits describes the federal and provincial government benefits available to seniors, including: Old Age Security Program, Canada Pension Plan, and Employment Insurance Benefits.
When I’m 64: Services contains services available to seniors in the following areas: Health Care, Housing, Transportation, and Recreation.
When I’m 64: Controlling Your Affairs contains information about planning for the future, offering information about: Power of Attorney, Representation Agreement, Wills, Staying Safe and Secure, and Protection from Frauds and Scams.
Booklets can be ordered online at http://publiclegaled.bc.ca/publications or picked up at The People’s Law School, Unit 150 – 900 Howe Street, Vancouver, BC V6Z 2M4. Booklets are also available in an online format with embedded videos to help viewers understand the matter and next steps to consider.
