Employment Offer: Resident Caretaker/Manager For The Ukrainian Village at 8720 Railway Ave. in Richmond, B.C.
The Richmond Ukrainian Housing Society has provided a safe and pleasant environment since 1985 in a 44 suite, three story modern and upgraded building, for seniors of various cultures and who are self-maintained tenants. This low cost and subsidized rental accommodation is supported by BC Housing.
This full-time position, beginning on July 1, 2012 provides a very good opportunity for a recently retired, or soon to be retired, couple in good health.
This position requires experience in tenant relations, building and grounds maintenance, and processing rental agreements. You are able to work alone or with others, and to initiate and complete tasks. You would communicate with tenants, the general public, and the administrator in a pleasant and courteous manner. The aim is to provide a clean, safe, and happy environment for the tenants. Preference will be given to someone who can speak both English and Ukrainian.
A competitive salary, statutory employment benefits, utilities, parking, gardening, recreational amenities and a monthly travel allowance are included. The Caretaker-Manager’s suite of approximately 1100 sq ft. is provided at a low monthly rent.
You must be able to provide a criminal record check, and have, or qualify for, a valid BC Driver’s License
