On 1 March exactly 8 years ago I struggled to get to Crimea just like I do right now to Kyiv. But in 2014 I faced troubles in Chonhar (Kherson oblast) because of being a Kyiv resident, the Berkut (at that time - special police force that supported ex-president Ianukovych) turned me around harshly, and I was lucky. They held other people for 4 days in some basement.
In 2022, on the other hand, a tattered Ukrainian passport is a ticket.
Even if one is registered in Kyiv on the Lebedev-Kumach Street, named after the author of the USSR anthem, although the street was decommunized several years ago. But there's a checkpoint of territorial defense forces in every village.
I can't imagine how these occupants feel walking on our land.
