In Vasylkiv,
Our servicemen from Vasylkiv, whom I visited with the concerts on the frontline, called. They say that after the hell they went through in the first days of the war, they are alive, optimistic, even more, eager to fight for the Victory, which they have no doubt about.
They turned on the loudspeaker, asked if we would still sing together if we would organize concerts and asked to say something good.
- Of course, we will sing again and there will be concerts! I love you, I pray for you, I embrace you with all my heart, we are proud that we have such courageous men, - I was going on and on. And in the end, I added: “Bunnies!”
At the other end of the line, they laughed.
“Don't be offended, I'm in love!” - I said.
“We are not offended. We are used to it. The commander calls us that: my bunnies and my princesses”, - the guys replied.
What a sweet army we have! 💙💛
We laughed and said goodbye. Suddenly the guys added:
- Another story that impressed us. As the walls were bouncing off the explosions and the windows were flying out, and the whole city was buzzing and shaking, the icons on the table in the military unit did not move.
Our defenders are convinced that this is a sign of our inevitable victory because God is with us and demonstrates His incredible strength.
After the conversation, it became warm and cozy, like in a world that has moved so far away from all of us in these 16 days.
But let every Ukrainian be inspired by the history of icons. May God protect every Ukrainian, our cities, villages, Ukraine!
